This is my little corner of the web to give details of our daily lives. Anything goes...I might talk about what we've eaten, where we've gone and any "accidents" the kids might have had. Camping & Scrapbooking will be high on the list of things I talk about. Pretty much anything goes. This is mainly my way of remembering things that we have done. (My memory STINKS) Sometimes I may be boring...other times, I might actually be funny. (Yeah, whatever.)
I was going to wait until after William's doctor appointment in April with his asthma doc, but we have some noteworthy news. Don't go crazy. We aren't having more kids. lol! William is getting glasses. His teacher emailed me a couple of weeks ago and said he was having trouble seeing the chalk board. I called that day and got him an appointment for this past Monday with our pediatrician (that was the earliest they could get him in). I honestly thought he was faking it. He said he could see the board when Mrs. Miller was writing, but not the special person paper. Even the doctor thought that was crazy.
At the pediatrician appointment, his right eye was 20/80 and his left was 20/60. He now weighs 92.5 pounds and is 51 3/4 inches tall. And
Grace weighs 49 1/4 pounds and is 43 1/2 inches tall. (She went in for her red, peeling, cracking toes). She has eczema. He was referred to an eye doctor.
So Tuesday, I drag the kids to Terre Haute. again. Same results with the eye chart. The right eye was a little better, but I don't remember what. Mom might have it, she took notes for me. =) Anyhoo. William wasn't exactly cooperating with the doctor. He would ask him a question and he would him haw around and not really answer him. So he dilated his eyes. You can either see or you can't with your eyes dilated. He could see the letters although blurry, but they were much more clear with the lenses in front of his eyes. So he got a prescription for -1.00 for both eyes. We went out and picked out some cool Spiderman frames. They should be in next week.
On the drive home, Grace's left eye looked irritated. I put some Visine in it when we got home, but it was swollen when she got up this morning. So, I'm calling in the morning to see if we can get her in to see the pediatrician again. Nothing like paying $75 in co-pays in one week. I hate insurances and that clinic. I wish our pediatrician would branch out on her own!!! (That's what I said about the last 2 we had too). We aren't exactly sure what happened to her, but suspect that the stray cat that has been living at our house (Grace named her Summer) did it. Grace has a scratch by that eye and we think that maybe she scratched her eye. If nothing else, we are positive that it is an infection of some sort whether it was caused by the cat or not.
I'll send pictures another day. I have Grace's preschool pictures back. They are adorable.

The update: Grace has a 11:40am appointment this morning to have her eye looked at. She insisted that Aunt Stella brings her up. My mom is going to stay with William. I'll post an update when I get back from the doctor.
