5:20 PM

My days off (July 13 through 15) plus a blurb about today.

Wednesday. Oh sweet relief. I didn't have to get up until 8am. I had signed the kids up for a Thomas the Train day-camp at Grace's preschool. It was from 9 to 12. I don't remember much about what I did while at home without them. I remember folding clothes and putting them away and being on the computer....Oh yeah, I was on the computer looking at cameras...Gotta have something to spend that OT on!

I picked up the kids at noon, and swung by and picked up my mom. Went home and ate some lunch and then headed to Terre Haute. I went to the Open Door to pick up bulletins for the church and ordered a 3-2-1 Penguins dvd while there as well. Then we went to Galloway Photo in the Mall to see if they had the cameras I was looking at. They had the Nikon. $999.99 for the body and a lens (I'm looking at the digital SLR kind). They didn't have the Sony I was looking at or the Canon EOS that I was interested in. But I had a long talk with the sales rep and looked at Pentax that was more in the range of what I wanted to spend and its pictures are just as good as the Nikon. Then we went to Wal-Mart so I could buy some lunches for me at work the following week. I picked up a few other things as well. I don't remember what we did after we got home or after Vince got home.

Thursday: Spent the day basically at home. Woke up around 7:30, but didn't get up until 8:30. Grace had a friend come over. We spent about an hour in the pool while she was there. They ate lunch, finger-painted, played on the computer. Then I called her dad. We had a play set that our kids don't play with. I had loaded up all that I could get apart and had him come over to load the rest in his truck. They own the daycare that our kids go to. Anyway we sent the play set to them. All of the kids love the one they already have. So now they have 2 for the kids to use. Then the kids laid down in our room while watching a movie while I got cleaned up and fixed dinner. I actually got to sit on the couch for 15-30 minutes! The kids and I went to church while Vince went to the school board meeting. After church, we met at McDonald's with the rest of the church crew.

Friday: Slept in. Vince went to the chiropractor. When he got back from there, I packed us a little over night bag. After my mom got there, we went to Evansville for the night. The kids spent the night with Marcy after she got off work. Vince and I went to both RV places there. The first place can get us what we want when we finally decide to trade up. I was sure to make it clear that we wouldn't be doing that anytime soon. Then we went to our motel and relaxed and watched tv...something we don't do much of at home. The place we stayed at gave us a 10% off coupon for Texas Roadhouse so we went there for supper. We connect up with our friend Laura, but never could get ahold of her. We drove by where we thought she was living, but no cars were there. So we went to the movies and watched Click. I kinda wish I had seen Pirates of the Caribbean. Click was good, but man the language was horrible. After the movie was over, we went back to our room and stayed up late playing a board game and watching more tv.

Saturday: We didn't sleep in real late. Too much light coming in the window. I think I was up by 8:30 their time. They are an hour behind us.We left by 10 or 10:30 and headed toward home. We got to Marcy's around 1:30 and picked up the kids. Then we headed to Terre Haute. I had Vince pick up an ink cartridge for the church printer and it didn't work. So I needed to return it. Linton Wal-Mart no longer carries this cartridge. The movie I ordered the kids was also in. So first stop was the Open Door. I just ran in, picked up the movie and ran out. Then we went to Galloway Photo so I could show Vince the camera I was interested in (the pentax). I showed him that, we walked out and he decided he wanted to see the Nikon, so we went back in. Once he seen that, we went back out and got in the truck. He told me that I could get what I wanted and if I wanted it today to go back in and get it...so I did. I got the camera which came with a 18-55mm lens, a 55-200mm lens, the secure disk media, batteries with charger, extended warranty and a carrying case. Then we went to Wal-Mart and I exchanged the ink cartridge. Then we went out for Ice Cream (at 4:20pm without having supper yet - are we cool parents or what?) We went to a new place called Cold Stone Creamery. It was good, but too expensive. The kids' ice cream wasn't too bad...until you seen how little they got for $1.50. Grace barely ate hers. Vince and I split one because it was $3.29 for an ice cream cone. Yikes! After we ate our ice cream we went home.

The kids and I got in the pool...which was leaning way more than it should to one side. Vince pulled on one side and had me push from the inside...and then the opposite side collapsed. I let out maybe 6 inches or so of water. The water was to Grace's armpits and now it is just above her belly button. I'm going to drain it and start over. Hopefully that will last the rest of the season. I'm pretty impressed that it isn't slimy at all and the water is still quite clear. Yea me!

We swam for close to an hour and then went inside. I don't remember what all we did. When Vince came in, we decided to order Casey's carry-out pizza. Then we all went in town. We went to the Dollar Store and got a bday card for the party William was invited to for Sunday. When we picked up the pizza and then we rented a movie and went home. We ate dinner, William watched the movie. I did the bulletins and I think Vince got cleaned up from mowing while we were swimming. Then we hall headed to bed.

That gets us to today! I'm at work. Ugh!!!! Vince and the kids got up and made it to Sunday School! Then Vince took William to Rylee's bday party while Grace went to Mamaws. We will be going to church after I get home.

And that was my 4 days off.

(when I came out here to actually post this (I type it up in an email first and post it later) I  seen that I hadn't posted since the 9th! Wow.....wasn't much going on anyway...I was working)
